Terms of Use for the StonehamChamber.org Website

The  www.stonehamchamber.orgWeb site (hereinafter"site") is the express property of the Stoneham Chamber of Commerce (hereinafter “Chamber”), a nonprofit 501c6 organization established in 1984.  Content provided on or through this site may be used only under the Terms and Conditions stated below. References to “you,” “your,” “user” or “users” in the following statements include the individual user and any affiliated users.

Purpose- The site is a means of informing the business community of Stoneham and its environs of issues of importance and to serve as a resource for finding information about Stoneham Chamber of Commerce members. The Chamber assumes no liability, directly or indirectly, for any information posted to the site, nor for any information, products or services promoted by third parties approved or unapproved by the Chamber nor any information, products or services accessed via links from the site.

User Data- You agree that all information you provide to the site is accurate and truthful, that you are at least 18 years of age and that you will abide by the Privacy Statement for the site. Users are prohibited from uploading viruses, worms or other harmful properties for dissemination to other users or to the site itself.

All data collected by the Chamber from you during your use of the site is the property of the Chamber. The Chamber reserves the right to use the data in its day to day maintenance of the site, for purposes of contacting you as necessary and for the purposes of improving or enhancing the overall effectiveness of the site. Every effort will be made to secure and keep confidential information deemed private, as expressed in the site’s Privacy Statement. User data collected by the site will not be sold, given, shared, provided or in any way delivered to third party vendors, Chamber members, non-members or other users.

User Obligation- Users agree not to remove any copyright or other notices and unless otherwise specified or expressly approved in writing by the Chamber, users may not reproduce, transmit, sell, display, distribute, publish or otherwise disseminate, circulate, or modify any information contained in or on the site. Users also agree not to use the site for illegal purposes.
 

Chamber/Site Limits of Liability - The site is protected by applicable copyright, patent, trademark or other intellectual property law. The Chamber retains its title, ownership rights and intellectual property rights in and to the site. You agree to abide by any copyright notice or other restriction contained in any individual information, software, or other material accessible through the site.

The Chamber will not be liable nor provide any warranty against or guarantee of compensation for issues that arise from the use of links on the site pages to access other websites, internet destinations, purchases, downloads, uploads, transmissions or other actions resulting from their use.  Likewise, the Chamber prohibits any use of site materials for the purpose of transmitting information it deems obscene, lewd, indecent, abusive, inappropriate or defamatory.

The Chamber makes no warranty, guarantee or representation that access to or use of the site will not be interrupted, or that information on the site is complete, error free or timely. You agree to hold the Chamber harmless from and/or against all claims, losses, damages, costs or expenses incurred by you which result from the use of any and all information contained on the site, or accessed through the site, whether provided by the Chamber or any third party.

The Chamber reserves the right to block, remove, inactivate or in any way necessary prevent any or all users from accessing the site at anytime and users agree to hold the Chamber harmless for any damages that occur as a result of such blockage.

The Chamber shall not be held liable for any damages that result from the direct transmission from the site of any corrupt or viral programming, including but not limited to individual users hardware, software or data.

Acceptance of Terms of Use - Your use of this site indicates your agreement  to the terms and conditions of use set forth above and established by the Chamber in September,  2010. The Chamber reserves the right to add/omit/change any portion of the Terms of Use at anytime now or in the future.
