Chamber Welcomes CVS with Ribbon Cutting

Board directors of the Stoneham Chamber of Commerce welcomed CVS as their newest member with a ribbon-cutting in front of CVS’s 107 Main Street location, Thursday. Lisa Gonzalas Welch, with the SBA Massachusetts District Office led the May 16 SBA Advantage Workshop for members of the Stoneham and Wakefield Chambers and the community at large. The workshop was designed to help emerging and existing business learn about the many available SBA programs and services.

James Cobb, VP and Branch Manager with Eastern Bank in Wakefield, explains how an average of 79% of SBA loan applications are approved under the SBA's new Express program. Eastern Bank was a featured SBA approved lender at the May 16 SBA Advantage Workshop.

Roving juggler Peter McLaughlin amazed guests with his juggling skills at Mardi Gras Saturday night at Montvale Plaza. Caricatures, tarot card readings, and juggling and magician talents were some of the entertainment sponsored by Stoneham Ford and StonehamBank throughout the evening.

Talented caricature artists Alissa Goldsmith, Mark Seagrave and Madeline Copp were busy the entire evening as most guests chose to sit for their caricatures at Mardi Gras, Saturday night.

Leah Cirker-Stark – the Living Statue was part of the entertainment line-up Saturday night at the Chamber of Commerce 2013 Mardi Gras party Saturday night. Pictured behind the Living Statue is a full array of prizes donated by Chamber members and area businesses.

Edie and Bill Previdi, guests of Mardi Gras host Stoneham Savings Bank sit for their caricature. Mark Seagrave does a wonderful job capturing their very French “look” for Mardi Gras as part of the entertainment line-up throughout the evening.

Guests quickly hunt through the Mardi Gras program book ads to find the Mardi Gras clues and be first to win some fun prizes.

Taxes can be a serious subject, but Doreen Breland of Chamber member H&R Block knew how to get into the spirit of Mardi Gras Saturday night at Montvale Plaza.
